Madison India Capital Exits Star Health; Premji Invest Acquires Stake
Madison India Capital divested its entire 1.15% stake in Star Health and Allied Insurance for ₹299 crore ($36 million) in an open market transaction. The shares were sold at ₹441.01 apiece, marking a full exit for the private investment firm.
Premji Invest's affiliate, Pi Opportunities AIF V LLP, acquired a 0.77% stake for ₹200 crore at the same price point. Star Health's shares closed 1.67% higher at ₹450 on the NSE following the transaction.
Separately, Hydra Trading Pvt Ltd sold a 3.7% stake in Greenlam Industries for ₹231 crore via a block deal on the BSE. The transactions highlight continued institutional activity in India's insurance and manufacturing sectors.
